A new trailhead with 52 gravel parking spots off Highway 49 will eventually open public access to the El Dorado Ranch Wildlife Area. The Conservancy will hold and gate the property for two to three years before the state Department of Fish and Wildlife takes it over and opens it sunrise to sunset.
